Roll (Roller) is tool or mould for plasticizing deformation metals. It is is one of the most important parts of the rolling mill  to determine the efficiency and quality of rolling products. The plastic deformation of the rolled piece occurs through the rotating roll, and products that meet the required shape and dimensional accuracy are rolled out. Other parts on the rolling mill are set up to install, support, adjust, replace the roll and guide the rolled piece to enter the roll correctly.

 

High-speed steel (HSS) rolls are advanced metallurgical products widely used in the modern steel industry for hot rolling applications. These rolls are known for their exceptional wear resistance, high-temperature hardness, and thermal fatigue resistance. Composed of alloy elements such as tungsten (W), molybdenum (Mo), vanadium (V), and chromium (Cr) and so on, HSS rolls exhibit superior durability and performance compared to traditional cast iron and cast steel rolls.
